उद्यमेन हि सिध्यन्ति कार्याणि न मनोरथैः।
न हि सुप्तस्य सिंहस्य प्रविशन्ति मुखे मृगाः॥

Meaning:

Works are accomplished through effort, not merely by wishing. Deer do not enter the mouth of a sleeping lion.

• Udyamena hi sidhyanti kāryāṇi: Success comes only through hard work.

• Na manorathaiḥ: Not by idle dreams or wishes.

• Na hi suptasya siṁhasya: Even a lion, if asleep,

• Praviśanti mukhe mṛgāḥ: Will not have deer walk into its mouth.
